The final concept of the usage of lenticular images is as seen in this minature mockup.
Both panels are not on scale and would probably be even smaller than this to reduce aerodynamic problems. These panels are to placed so that they are visible by all cyclist/pedestrian on eye height.
The side panel changes color from green to orange to red when the user is about to enter the blind spot on the side of the truck. An alert image becomes visible at this point aswell. Thsi can be combined with LED strips.
The back panel can show 3 images dependant on the angle. When the truck is approached from the left or right back, the user is allerted of an upcoming blind spot and encouraged to stay behind the truck. When seen from the back, the logo of the truck is visicble. Using this technique, logos that were already on the truck can be kept without being obstructed by the lenticular images.
